1. Baking Soda

Our first trick to cleaning your kettle is pretty easy, as you only need three ingredients; first white vinegar, second baking soda and third water. It is important that during this washing process the kettle is disconnected to clean in cold water.

  • First: Mix the three ingredients very well with 1/2 cup white vinegar, 2 tablespoons baking soda and two cups water.
  • Second, let the mixture sit for 20 to 30 minutes without mixing or moving the kettle.
  • Third, remove the mixture and rinse with plenty of cold water until you notice no vinegar or baking soda left behind.

2. Lemon juice

For our second trick to cleaning the electric jug, you only need three ingredients, the first is lemon juice and the second is water. This product is used because lemon has excellent anti-limescale properties. It also helps to keep the kettle shiny, odorless and disinfected.

  • First: Squeeze two or more lemons and pour the juice into the kettle.
  • Second: Pour two cups of water next to the juice and close the lid of the kettle.
  • Third, let the mixture come to a boil, then turn off the kettle.
  • Fourth, leave the mixture in the electric pitcher for at least 3 hours.
  • Fifth: Empty the mixture and check that all the limescale is gone.

3. White vinegar to clean

When to clean the kettle?

It is recommended to carry out a simple wash at least once a week to avoid the build-up of limescale and other germs, as, if used very frequently, it has more potential than the build-up of this type of dirt.
